Admins can upload job descriptions and responsibilities for all roles at once using a CSV import. When published, the data maps to employees by matching the job_title field in each employee's profile.
Before You Begin
- Career Hub must be enabled in your account. Go to Settings > Features > Career Hub to confirm.
- All employee profiles must list accurate job titles. Descriptions and responsibilities match to employees by job title — extra spaces, symbols, or inconsistent capitalization will cause mismatches.
- Save your completed CSV in Unicode (UTF-8) format before uploading.
Steps
- Click the Settings gear in the bottom-left corner of 15Five.
- Select Features from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down and click Career Hub.
- Click Create new import.
- Click Download template to download the fillable CSV template.
- Open the template and review the Download template tab for column descriptions and examples.
- Fill in the
jobtitle, jobdescription, andresponsibilitiescolumns for all roles. - Save the completed file in Unicode (UTF-8) format.
- Click Create new import and upload your saved CSV file.
- Review the upload summary to confirm all rows are correct.
- Click Publish to import the data.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Descriptions or responsibilities are missing after publish | Confirm the employee's profile job title exactly matches the job_title value in the CSV |
Correct the mismatch in the CSV or the employee's profile, then re-import |
| CSV upload is rejected | Confirm the file is saved in Unicode (UTF-8) format | Re-save the file with UTF-8 encoding, then re-upload |
| Need to update an existing description or responsibility | Admins cannot edit individual entries in-app | Create a new CSV with the corrected values and repeat the import steps above |
| Upload summary shows unexpected rows | Check for extra columns or blank rows in the CSV | Remove extra content, save, and re-upload |
