Manage a direct report's job description and responsibilities in Career Hub (Manager)

Managers can edit a direct report's job description and add or edit job responsibilities from the direct report's Career Hub. Changes appear immediately in the direct report's Role clarity tab and their profile Career tab.

Before You Begin

  • Career Hub must be enabled for your company's account.
  • You must be the direct manager of the employee whose information you are editing.
  • You cannot edit job responsibilities that an account admin programmed via CSV import.

Edit a Direct Report's Job Description

  1. Click Career Hub in the left-hand navigation bar.
  2. Under Team, click the direct report's name to open their Career Hub.
  3. Click the Role clarity tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Job title & description section.
  5. Click Edit in the top right corner of the section.
  6. Make your changes to the job description field.
  7. Click Save changes.

Add or Edit Job Responsibilities

  1. Click Career Hub in the left-hand navigation bar.
  2. Under Team, click the direct report's name to open their Career Hub.
  3. Click the Role clarity tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Job responsibilities section.
  5. To add a responsibility, click + Add responsibility in the top right corner.
  6. Enter the responsibility, then click Submit.
  7. Repeat steps 5–6 until all responsibilities are listed.
  8. To edit an existing responsibility, click ... to the left of the responsibility.
  9. Select Edit from the dropdown menu.
  10. Make your changes, then click Update.

If Something Goes Wrong

Edit button does not appear on a responsibility Responsibility was added by an account admin via CSV Request the edit from your account admin
Direct report's name does not appear under Team You are not assigned as their direct manager Ask your account admin to update the reporting structure in the employee's profile settings
Career Hub is not visible in the navigation bar Career Hub is not enabled for your account Contact your account admin to enable Career Hub in Feature settings
