The ME Indicator Dashboard is divided into two sections: Org-Level Insights and Manager Details. This article explains how to read each element in both sections and what actions you can take from them.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the HR Outcomes Dashboard.
- At least one Manager Effectiveness Review Cycle or Engagement Survey must have run. Without assessment data, some tiles will be incomplete or absent.
Read the Org-Level Insights Section
- Click Insights Dashboard in the left-hand navigation.
- Click the Manager Effectiveness tab at the top of the page.
- Click the ME Indicator tab.
- Locate the Org-Level Insights section at the top of the dashboard.
- Read the MEI tile to see your organization's current average score out of 100.
- Check the MEI Trend graph to see how that average score has changed week over week.
- Review Competency Highlights to identify the top three competencies where managers score highest.
- Hover over any bar in the MEI Breakdown chart to see how many managers fall into each scoring band for that week.
What Each Element Shows
MEI (Manager Effectiveness Indicator) Your organization's current average score across eight leadership competencies. Calculated from Manager Effectiveness Review Cycles and/or Engagement Surveys. If no assessment has run, the score may temporarily use historical platform usage data (Check-ins, High Fives, 1-on-1s). Run an assessment to replace this fallback.
MEI Trend A line graph with one data point per week. A rising trendline indicates recent initiatives — training, coaching, Action Plans — are having an effect. A flat or declining trendline signals a need for attention.
Competency Highlights The three competencies with the highest scores in the most recent assessment period. Use these as internal best-practice benchmarks or pair them with lower-scoring areas to design targeted training.
MEI Breakdown A bar chart showing weekly snapshots of how your manager population is distributed across MEI score ranges over the past 12 weeks. Hovering over a bar also shows how many managers lack a score due to missing assessment data.
Explore the Manager Details Section
- Scroll to the Manager Details section at the bottom of the ME Indicator Dashboard.
- Select Heatmap, List, or Org Chart to choose your view.
Heatmap View (Default)
- Review the top row to see your organization's average factor score for each of the eight competencies.
- Scan each manager's row to compare their individual competency scores against the org average.
- Click a manager's name to open the Manager Details side panel.
Use the Heatmap when you want to spot patterns across competencies or identify clusters of managers with shared development needs.
List View
- Click List to switch to the List view.
- Click any column header to sort managers by that metric.
- Click the arrow next to a manager's name to open the Manager Details side panel.
The List view shows the following columns per manager:

| Engagement | Most recent engagement score for the manager's team (requires confidentiality threshold) |
| Objectives | Percentage of direct reports' objectives currently marked "on track" |
| Top Performers | Number of top performers on the team based on performance ratings |
| Turnover | Number of team members with a termination date recorded in the past 30 days |
| Span of Influence | Total employees in the manager's reporting hierarchy |
| Span of Control | Number of direct reports the manager currently has |
Org Chart View
- Click Org Chart to switch to the Org Chart view.
- Use the expand/collapse arrows and zoom controls to navigate the reporting hierarchy.
- Click a manager's name to open the Manager Details side panel.
Use the Org Chart when you want to see how effectiveness scores cascade across leadership layers or across departments.
Manager Details Side Panel
Accessible from all three views, the side panel shows:
- A breakdown of the manager's MEI factor scores across all eight competencies
- Their overall MEI score alongside Engagement, Performance, and Turnover metrics
- Span of Influence and Span of Control figures
If Something Goes Wrong

| Engagement column in List view is blank for a manager | Team size may not meet the confidentiality threshold | Add more direct reports or check confidentiality settings with your admin |
| Turnover column shows 0 unexpectedly | Termination dates may not be recorded in 15Five | Add termination data via your HRIS integration or manual upload |
| Manager Details side panel does not open | Browser or session issue | Refresh the page and click the manager's name again |
