The Manager Effectiveness Assessment (MEA) is a set of eight rating-scale questions that measure how well a manager demonstrates key effectiveness competencies. It collects perspectives from multiple reviewer types to give a holistic view of managerial performance across the organization.
Feature Structure
Review types included
The MEA appears across three reviewer types within a cycle:
- Upward Review — Direct reports assess their manager's effectiveness.
- Self Review — The manager reflects on their own effectiveness.
- Manager Review — The manager's direct manager evaluates their leadership and performance.
Rating scale
Reviewers rate each competency on a five-point scale: Never demonstrates → Always demonstrates.
