Set a confidentiality threshold for engagement campaigns

The confidentiality threshold controls how many survey responses a group must have before its results are visible to users with results access. This article covers how to set that threshold to 3, 4, or 5 respondents.

Before You Begin

  • You must have Engagement Admin or Organization Admin access to Engagement feature settings.
  • This setting is available on the Engage, Legacy Perform, and Total Platform pricing packages.
Important: The confidentiality threshold cannot be changed for an active campaign. Set this value before a campaign's launch date. See .

Steps

  1. Click the Settings gear icon in the bottom-left corner of your 15Five account.
  2. Go to Features > Engage.
  3. Click the Results visibility tab.
  4. Select a respondent minimum under Confidentiality rule:

- 3 — results visible when 3 or more responses are submitted - 4 — results visible when 4 or more responses are submitted - 5 — results visible when 5 or more responses are submitted (system default)

  1. Click Save.

After saving, Results visibility reflects the selected threshold. The updated threshold applies to all future engagement campaigns.

Note: The system default is 5 respondents. Lowering the threshold reduces the number of responses required before individual group results become visible. See How does engagement survey confidentiality work in 15Five? for details on how this affects result visibility.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Results visibility tab is not visible Confirm your account has Engagement Admin or Organization Admin permissions Contact your Organization Admin to verify your access level
Saved threshold does not appear in an active campaign Confirm the campaign had not yet launched when the change was saved The threshold cannot be retroactively applied — wait until the next campaign to use the updated setting
Save button is unresponsive Check whether a threshold option is selected Select a threshold value (3, 4, or 5), then click Save again
