Set Up an SFTP Connection in 15Five

Enabling SFTP in 15Five creates a secure connection between your HRIS and 15Five so employee data imports automatically. After setup, 15Five displays connection credentials and logs all import history.

Before You Begin

  • Confirm with your HRIS account manager that your HRIS supports SFTP, or have your IT or Engineering team ready to write an automated script.
  • You must have admin access in 15Five.
  • SFTP is available on all 15Five plans.

Steps

  1. Click the Settings gear in the bottom-left corner of your 15Five account.
  2. Select Features from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Integrations.
  4. Click Enable to the right of the SFTP option.
  5. Read the confirmation pop-up, then click Enable SFTP.
  6. On the Setup tab, copy the connection credentials shown.
  7. Enter those credentials into your HRIS or script to configure the connection.
  8. Run your first import from your HRIS or script.
  9. Click the Settings tab on the SFTP integration page.
  10. Select an active 15Five user as the contact person for sync summary and error emails.
  11. Click the Import history tab to confirm the import appears in the list.
  12. Click any import entry to view its details.
