If your HRIS is not on the supported HRIS Connector list, you can still keep employee data in sync with 15Five. SFTP makes it easy: your HRIS exports a CSV, 15Five imports it automatically, and your employee roster stays current without any manual work.
Why SFTP Is the Easy Path
SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) is a simple, reliable way to sync employee data from any HRIS to 15Five. There is no custom integration to build, no API to configure, and no middleware to manage. If your HRIS can export a CSV file, it can send data to 15Five.
Setup takes minutes:
- Enable SFTP in your 15Five account and copy the connection credentials.
- Enter those credentials in your HRIS (or hand them to your IT team for a quick script).
- Your HRIS sends a UTF-8 CSV to 15Five on whatever schedule you choose. 15Five imports it automatically.
That's it. Once connected, SFTP supports the same employee fields as the HRIS Connector: name, email, manager, department, location, start date, and custom attributes. For the full field list, see Add People to 15Five — Overview of Methods.
Common HRIS Systems That Work with SFTP
The following systems do not have a built-in 15Five connector, but connecting them through SFTP is straightforward:
- ADP Canada
- Employment Hero
- iSOLVED
- Oracle HCM
- Paycom
- Zoho People
This is not an exhaustive list. Any HRIS that can export employee data as a CSV can send that data to 15Five through SFTP.
Example: Connecting Paycom to 15Five
- Follow Set Up an SFTP Connection in 15Five to enable SFTP and copy your credentials.
- In Paycom, configure a scheduled SFTP export that sends employee data to the 15Five SFTP server using those credentials.
- Contact your Paycom account representative if you need help enabling SFTP exports on the Paycom side.
The same three steps apply to any of the systems listed above. If your HRIS does not have a built-in SFTP client, your IT team can set up a simple script to send the CSV automatically.
