Draft an objective Manager Copilot
Tip
Check out our "Create an objective" article for additional guidance as you create your objective.
- Click on Objectives in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation.
- Click Create a new objective in the top, right-hand corner of the page.
- Click Draft Objective in the "What is your objective" text box.
- The Manager Copilot Assistant will open on the left-hand side of your screen. From here, provide answers to the prompted questions.
- Spark AI will generate an objective title and description based on your answers.
- You can continue asking Copilot questions to help with objective creation. For example:
- "Can you make the title more concise?"
- "Can you add emojis to the objective/key result titles to make them more engaging?"
- "What are some key results that we could use to measure success?"
- "What are some key results that I could delegate to individuals on my team who are looking for more responsibility?"
- "What potential hurdles should we be prepared for as we work towards objective completion?"
- "Should this be an individual, group, or company objective?"
- "What's an appropriate timeframe for this objective?"
- Copy and paste these answers into the appropriate fields on the Objective creation form, making edits as needed.
- When you're done, click Create objective at the bottom of the form. The objective can now be seen on the Objectives dashboard. Current objectives will also appear in the Check-ins of the objective owner and key result owners so they can update progress as they complete their Check-ins.
Get support around goal-setting
The "Ask Copilot about Setting Goals" functionality enables managers to receive answers to questions about goal-setting questions based on management best practices.
- Click on Objectives in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation.
- Click Create a new objective in the top, right-hand corner of the page.
- Click Ask Copilot about Setting Goals in the "What is your objective" text box.
- The Manager Copilot Assistant will open on the left-hand side of your screen. Copilot can help you with the following tasks:
- Writing measurable and achievable objectives
- Generating ideas on how to motivate team members
- Learning more about SMART and OKR frameworks
- Ask questions about goal-setting and Copilot will provide recommendations based on management best practices.
