This article walks through the various reports that are available for download during and after a review cycle. To help you identify which reports you want to utilize, we've included role-based access, use cases, and what information is contained in each report.

Role-based report access
The chart below shows which roles have access to the various Best-Self Review® reports. Learn more about roles in a Best-Self Review® cycle.
Progress downloads
Progress downloads let you monitor how your review cycle is progressing.
Access progress downloads
- Click on Best-Self Review® in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation bar.
- Click on the name of the review cycle you want to access.
- You're now on the review cycle's 'Overview' tab. From here, click the Download button to the right of the review cycle name and select your desired report from the dropdown menu.
Available downloads
Full progress report
This is the most extensive of all review downloads and contains information about all participants including review writers and submission timestamps, questions and provided answers, and calibration session & review acknowledgment information.

Role-based access: Review admins and Cycle collaborators can download this report for all participants. Managers can download this report for their direct reports.
- Details: This report can be pulled anytime after the cycle start date. The information contained in the report will change as new reviews are submitted up until the cycle is locked.

Use cases

See which reviews haven't been submitted: Filter the "Submit date" columns to see which reviews haven't been submitted. If you're a Review admin or Cycle collaborator, you can also use the Review writers progress tracker to get this information in a more user-friendly format.
Tip
Use the Progress tracker in the review cycle's Overview tab to "nudge"— send a notification to— employees who haven't submitted reviews.
- See which calibration sessions an employee is a part of. Refer to the "Calibration session status" column to see which calibration sessions an employee is part of. This makes it easier for admins to audit and verify participant inclusion in calibration sessions without manually cross-referencing.
- Keep a log of review cycle questions and answers: Export all questions and answers in the review cycle, organized by participant.
- Document the final state of the review cycle: Keep this report on file as a final report for the review cycle's completion after you lock the review cycle.
- See the status of review acknowledgment. Sort the "Acknowledgement" column to see which employees have and haven't acknowledged their review results. You can also sort the "Acknowledgement comment" column to see which employees left an optional comment when acknowledging their results and what those comments said.

See which reviews haven't been submitted: Filter the "Submit date" columns to see which reviews haven't been submitted. If you're a Review admin or Cycle collaborator, you can also use the Review writers progress tracker to get this information in a more user-friendly format.

Peer nomination status
This report contains information about participants' peer nominations and peer review submission status.

- Details: This report can be pulled anytime after results have been shared with participants. The information contained in the report will change as people accept/decline peer nominations and as peer reviews are submitted up until the cycle is locked.

Use cases

Identify which managers need help managing peers: As the "Select peers" and "Approve peers" milestones approach, check the # of peers that have been nominated for each participant so you know which managers need help managing peers for their direct reports.
Note
Participants, their Managers, Review admins, and Cycle collaborators can nominate peers. You can view upcoming review cycle milestones in the review cycle's Overview tab.
- See which employees are being nominated: Sort the "Peer Reviewer name" column to see how many times a specific person has been nominated as a peer to ensure no one is over-committing to writing too many peer reviews.
- Identify peer nomination openings: As the "Peer reviews" milestone approaches, see which peers haven't accepted their peer nominations so you can follow up with them. If a peer declines a nomination, nominate someone else to review the participant to ensure they receive a full picture of their performance in the cycle.

Participants progress tracker
This report provides insight into what reviews have/haven't been written for each participant.

Use cases

Stay updated on whose review processes haven't been completed: Use the "Unsubmitted reviews" columns to see which reviews about a participant haven't been submitted and the individuals who are responsible for writing them. You can also see whether or not a review writer has already started drafting a review of a participant using the "Draft reviews" columns. Ideally, all reviews about a person will be submitted so they receive a full picture of their performance.

Use the Progress tracker in the review cycle's Overview tab to "nudge"— send a notification to— employees who haven't submitted reviews.

Identify which managers may need help sharing and finalizing results. Managers typically share review results with their direct reports and finalize review results once results meetings conclude, but Review admins and Cycle collaborators can also complete these tasks. As the end of the review cycle approaches, sort the "Share results" and "Finalize results" columns of this report to see which managers may need assistance sharing and finalizing results. We do not recommend finalizing a participant's results until after you've confirmed that their manager has held a meeting with them to discuss their results.

- Document the final state of participants and review writers. Keep this report on file as a master list of all participants and the people who were responsible for writing reviews about them after you lock the review cycle.

Review writers progress tracker
This report provides insight into what people have/haven't submitted the reviews they're responsible for.

You can also see whether which participants a review writer has already started drafting a review of using the "Draft reviews" columns.

- Document the final stats about which review writers did and didn't complete reviews. Keep this report on file as a master list of everyone who was responsible for writing reviews and whether or not they completed their responsibilities after you lock the review cycle.

Audit log
The audit log allows you to see security events that occur in a review cycle.
Access progress downloads
- Click on Best-Self Review® in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation bar.
- Click on the name of the review cycle you want to access.
- You're now on the review cycle's 'Overview' tab. From here, click the Settings gear in the top, right-hand corner of the page and select 'Audit log' from the dropdown menu.

This report lets you see security events that occur in a review cycle (including adding/removing participants and admins) along with the person who performed the security event.

Company results downloads
Company results downloads allow you to see how participants performed in a review cycle.
Access company results downloads
- Click on Best-Self Review® in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation bar.
- Click on the name of the review cycle you want to access.
- You're now on the review cycle's 'Overview' tab. From here, open the 'Company's results' tab.
- Click the Download button at the top, right-hand corner of the page and select your desired report from the dropdown menu.

This report contains questions, provided answers, and performance ratings for all review cycle participants.

Team results downloads
Team results downloads allow you to see how your team performed in a review cycle. Only managers without Review admin or Cycle collaborator will see a "Team's results" tab. If a manager is also in an administrative role, they can access their team's results by opening the "Company's results" tab and filtering by their direct reports.

This report contains questions, provided answers, and performance ratings for all review cycle participants on a manager's team.

Additional results downloads
In addition to the reports mentioned above, Review admin, Cycle collaborators, and Managers can access the following reports in the various sections of the Company's or Team's results tabs. Review admins and Cycle collaborators can download these reports for all participants and Managers can download these reports for for their team. Follow the links in the sections below for additional report details and instructions on accessing these reports.
The following reports are available in Private Manager Assessment (PMA) reporting:
- PMA results: Includes the distribution of answers given to private manager assessment questions about participants that match selected filters. Allows you to see how many people fall into each private manager assessment rating for each question in the assessment.
- PMA question-specific results: Includes how the question was answered for each participant included in the download, as well as other cycle-specific performance data for participants.
- Answer distribution report: Allows you to see what number of participants received each answer to a PMA question.
- Answer distribution/participant view report: Includes a list of all participants that received a specific answer to a PMA question.
- Compare groups report: Allows you to see how many people within each group on the compare groups chart received each answer to the PMA question. This download changes based on the filters chosen on the 'Compare groups' tab.
- Compare groups/participant view report: Includes a list of all participants that received a specific answer to a PMA question.
- Trends over time report: Allows you to see how answer distribution changed for the question across selected cycles.
- Trends over time/participant view report: Shows each participant and the answer they received to the PMA question across selected review cycles.
The following reports are available in Performance Ratings+ reporting:
- Performance Ratings+ report: Includes the distribution of performance ratings for participants that match selected filters. Allows you to see how many people fall into each performance rating
- Score distribution report: Contains performance rating category information and how many participants (# and %) fall into each category.
- Score distribution/participant view report: Includes a list of all participants that received a specific performance rating.
- Compare groups report: Includes all groups that meet selected filters and what # and % of group members fell into each ratings category.
- Compare groups/participant view report: Includes a list of all participants that match selected filters and what rating and score they received.
- Trends over time report: Allows you to see how performance rating distribution changed across selected cycles.
- Trends over time/participant view report: Includes a full list of all participants that match selected filters and what performance rating category and score they received for all selected review cycles.
The following reports are available in Talent Matrix reporting:
- Results report: This report will change based on the two questions you've selected to populate the Talent Matrix. It contains all participants in the cycle, how their manager answered the two questions selected selected in the Talent Matrix, and what box the participants fall into.
The following reports are available in Questions and Answers reporting:
- Question-specific answers report: This report will change based on which question you're viewing answers for. It includes all answers given to a specific question about review cycle participants.
The following report is available in Competency Assessment reporting:
- All competency results report: Includes how each participant was rated in all competency questions across all review types (self, manager, additional manager, peer, and/or upward).
The following report is available in Objectives reporting:
- Objectives results report: Shows all objectives and key results owned by review cycle participants, the final completion progress of the OKRs, and how the owner's OKR performance was assessed by review writers.
