Manage the IT Admin role

The IT Admin role gives IT team members access to integration and security settings without granting full administrative privileges. Use these steps to assign or revoke the IT Admin role.

Before You Begin

  • You must be an HR Admin to assign or revoke the IT Admin role.
  • The IT Admin role is available on all plans.
  • Multiple employees can hold the IT Admin role at the same time.
  • Assigning or revoking IT Admin does not affect billable seat count.
  • Revoking the role does not disconnect or disrupt active integrations.

What IT Admin Can Access

  • SSO and SCIM settings
  • All integrations (HRIS, Flow of Work, Productivity)
  • Integration status and error states
  • Security Audit page
  • Notifications settings
  • Company Settings page (view only)

What IT Admin Cannot Access

  • Employee feedback, reviews, engagement data, or demographic data
  • HR workflows (surveys, check-ins)
  • Feature management settings
  • Sensitive employee attributes

Assign or Revoke the IT Admin Role

  1. Click the gear icon, then click Manage People.
  1. Search for the employee by name.
  2. Click the employee's name to open their account settings.
  1. Scroll to the Permissions section.
  2. Check the IT Admin box to assign the role, or uncheck it to revoke.
  1. Click Save.

Confirmation

The IT Admin role badge appears on the employee's permissions list after assigning. The badge disappears after revoking.
