Organization Chart — Feature Overview

The Organization Chart gives every employee a visual map of the company's reporting structure. It is accessible from the left sidebar and opens as a modal overlay without navigating away from the current page.

Available on: Plans with Org Chart enabled. Roles: All roles — Admin, Manager, and Employee.

Feature Structure

The Org Chart has four primary surfaces:

  • Chart view — A hierarchical visual layout of reporting relationships. Each node shows the employee's name, title, and profile photo.
  • List view — A flat, scrollable list of all employees. Toggle between Chart and List views using the view selector at the top of the modal.
  • Search — A search bar that filters by name, title, email, or department. Results update as you type.
  • Employee detail drawer — Click any employee to open a side panel showing role, department, manager, tenure, direct reports, span of control, and admin badges.

Key Rules

  • The Org Chart is available to all employees. There is no role restriction for viewing.
  • The Org Chart opens as a modal overlay. It does not navigate you away from the page you are on.
  • Your 15Five plan must include Org Chart access. If you do not see Org Chart in the left sidebar, your plan may not support it.
  • The standalone People navigation item has moved. To access the People page, click the gear icon and select Manage People.
