You can add talking points and action items to your 1-on-1 agenda at any time — including directly from a submitted Check-in. Your manager sees the same agenda, so both of you arrive at the meeting with shared context.
Before You Begin
- You must have a 1-on-1 relationship set up with your manager in 15Five.
- To add a topic from a Check-in, that Check-in must already be submitted.
Steps
Add a talking point directly to the agenda
- Select 1-on-1s from the left navigation.
- Open the meeting with your manager.
- Click Add talking point in the agenda panel.
- Type your topic in the text field.
- Press Enter or click outside the field to save.
Add a talking point from a submitted Check-in
- Select Check-ins from the left navigation.
- Open your submitted Check-in.
- Find the question or priority you want to discuss.
- Click the Add to 1-on-1 option next to that item.
- Confirm the talking point appears in your 1-on-1 agenda.
Add an action item to the agenda
- Open your 1-on-1 with your manager.
- Click Add action item in the agenda panel.
- Type the task description.
- Assign the action item to yourself or your manager.
- Set a due date if needed, then save.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Add to 1-on-1 option is not visible on a Check-in | Confirm the Check-in is fully submitted, not still in draft | Submit the Check-in, then retry |
| Talking point saves but does not appear in the agenda | Confirm you are viewing the correct meeting with your manager | Refresh the page; verify the 1-on-1 relationship in your account settings |
| Action item does not appear on your Actions list | Check whether the item was saved with an assignee | Reopen the agenda item and assign it explicitly to yourself |
