Use the Search tab in 1-on-1s to find talking points, action items, notes, and comments across all your past and current 1-on-1 agendas. When complete, matching agendas appear in a list below your filters.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the 1-on-1s feature. See 1-on-1 permissions and visibility — what each role can see and do for details.
Steps
- Click 1-on-1s in the left navigation bar.
- Click the Search tab at the top of the page.
- Type a term into the Enter a keyword field in the top-right corner of the page.
- The closest matches appear at the top of the results list.
- To filter which 1-on-1s are searched, use the filters at the top of the page:
- People — limits results to 1-on-1s held with one or more specific people. The dropdown is populated with everyone you have held 1-on-1s with. - Content type — limits results to one or more content types: - Notes — returns shared and private notes. Private notes are visible only to the person who wrote them. - Comment — returns all comments on talking points or action items. - Action item — returns all action items. - Talking point — returns all talking points. - Start date and End date — limits results to 1-on-1s ended or scheduled within the selected date range. > Note: The date filters apply only to ended or scheduled 1-on-1s. Leave both fields blank to search unscheduled 1-on-1s.
- Review the matching 1-on-1 agendas in the list below the filters.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |

| No results appear after entering a keyword | Confirm the Content type filter is not restricting the search to a type that does not contain the keyword | Clear the Content type filter and search again |
| A known past 1-on-1 is missing from results | Check whether Start date and End date filters are set | Clear the date filters to include all time periods |
| The People dropdown does not include an expected person | Confirm you have held at least one 1-on-1 with that person | The dropdown only shows people you have a 1-on-1 history with — no fix available if no history exists |
| Private notes are not appearing | Confirm you are the author of those notes | Private notes written by others are not visible to you regardless of filters |
