Add Termination Reasons in Manage People

From the Deactivated tab in Manage People, you can add or edit termination type, reason, and regrettable impact for employees whose accounts are already deactivated. These values populate turnover reporting in the HR Outcomes Dashboard.

Before You Begin

The employee's account must already be deactivated. If the account is still active, see Deactivate a Person's Account to deactivate and add termination data simultaneously.

Steps

  1. Click People in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Open the Deactivated tab at the top of the Manage People page.
  3. Use the search bar or filters to locate the person.
  4. Check the box to the left of the person's name.
  5. Click Actions at the top of the page.
  6. Select Add termination data from the dropdown menu.
  7. In the pop-up, select the termination Type, Reason, and Impact.
  8. Click Save.

Editing Incomplete Termination Records

If a previously terminated employee is missing a termination type or impact value:

  1. Open Manage People and go to the Deactivated tab.
  2. Locate the person using the search bar or filters.
  3. Click the value in the Type or Impact column for that row and update it.
  4. Click Save on that row.
