Opening a User Action for editing and clicking the Add to 1-on-1 icon surfaces that action or discussion on your next 1-on-1 agenda with the relevant person.
Before You Begin
- The action or discussion must already exist in your Actions List.
- You must have a 1-on-1 relationship established with the person associated with the action.
Steps
- Click My actions in the left-hand navigation.
- Locate the User Action or Discussion in your Actions List.
- Click the action to open it for editing.
- Click the Add to 1-on-1 icon inside the action.
The action now appears on the 1-on-1 agenda for the associated person.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Add to 1-on-1 icon is not visible | Confirm the item is a User Action or Discussion, not a System Action or Action Plan Action | Only User Actions and Discussions support manual 1-on-1 addition; System and Action Plan Actions cannot be added this way |
| Action does not appear on the 1-on-1 agenda | Confirm a 1-on-1 relationship exists with the impacted person | Set up a 1-on-1 with that person on the 1-on-1s page, then retry |
Note on Blockers
Blockers are added to your 1-on-1 with your manager automatically. You do not need to use the Add to 1-on-1 icon for Blockers.
