These steps add the 15Five app to your Okta instance, configure sign-on settings, and connect the API token to activate SCIM provisioning. When complete, Okta can create, update, and deactivate users in 15Five.
Before You Begin
- You must have admin access to your Okta instance.
- Complete the 15Five-side SCIM setup first and have your 32-character OAuth access token ready.
- If you plan to use SAML 2.0 SSO, configure SSO in 15Five before starting these steps.
Steps
- Open your Okta instance and search for 15Five in the search bar.
- If no result appears, click Apps in the search bar, then select Go to Applications page.
- Click Browse App catalog and search for 15Five.
- Click Add integration on the 15Five integration page.
- Enter an Application label — the default value "15Five" is recommended.
- Click Next.
- On the Sign-On Options page, select your sign-on method.
- SAML 2.0 customers: Select the SAML 2.0 radio button. No Relay State is required. - All other customers: Select Secure Web Authentication and choose an authentication level.
- Scroll down to Advanced Sign-on Settings.
- Enter your 15Five domain in the Base URL field.
- Click the Provisioning tab, then click the Integration subtab.
- Check the box next to Enable API Integration.
- Enter your 15Five subdomain (for example,
acme) in the Subdomain field. - Paste your 32-character access token into the API Token field.
- Click Save.
A successful save confirms Okta is communicating with 15Five.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Save fails after entering API credentials | Verify the access token was copied without extra spaces or characters | Regenerate the token in 15Five and paste it again |
| 15Five app does not appear in Okta search | Search scope may be limited to installed apps | Click Apps in the search bar, then browse the full app catalog |
| Base URL field not visible | Advanced Sign-on Settings section may be collapsed | Scroll down on the Sign-On Options page to expand the section |
| SAML 2.0 option not available | The 15Five SAML SSO integration may not be configured | Set up SSO in 15Five before returning to this step |
