This article covers authenticating and completing the initial connection between your HRIS and 15Five. After completing these steps, you will return to 15Five and the initial data load will begin.
Before You Begin
- You must have Account Admin access to integration settings.
- You can have only one active HRIS integration at a time. Contact 15Five Support to remove an existing integration before starting a new one.
- Some HRIS systems require additional permissions or configuration before authenticating. Check the integration-specific authentication articles for your HRIS before proceeding.
Steps
- Click the Settings gear in the bottom-left corner of your 15Five account.
- Select Integrations from the dropdown menu.
- On the integrations page, locate your HRIS in the list or use the search field.
- Select your HRIS.
- Choose an authentication method: log in with your HRIS credentials, or enter your API key or access token.
- If using an API key or access token, follow the in-modal guidance to locate your key in your HRIS.
- Click Next.
- Review the data that 15Five will access through the integration.
- Click Continue.
- Enter your HRIS subdomain (this is your company name in most cases).
- Click Submit.
- Click Open window to go to your HRIS account.
- In your HRIS account, authorize the integration with 15Five.
- Return to 15Five. Confirm the screen shows that your integration is ready.
- Click Finish setup.
The initial data load begins after you click Finish setup. For most companies this takes 10–15 minutes. For larger organizations, it can take several hours. All employee and group data syncs by default — you can apply filters during configuration.
If Something Goes Wrong

| Integration-ready confirmation screen never appears | Check whether authorization was completed in the HRIS window | Return to the HRIS window and confirm you clicked the authorization or approval button |
