This article covers how to create a career goal in the Growth plan tab of Career Hub. When complete, your new career goal appears in the Growth plan tab and in your Objectives tab as a self-development objective. Goals created here also appear in Check-ins and in the "Resources for my review" section of Best-Self Review®.
Before You Begin
- Your account must have access to Career Hub. Career Hub is available on the Perform and Total Platform packages. Contact your admin if you do not see Career Hub in your navigation.
- The Growth Plan tab is visible to you and your manager. Account admins cannot view it directly but can run a company-wide goals report.
Steps
- Click Career Hub in the left navigation.
- If you are a manager, click My Career Hub in the top-right corner of the page.
- Click the Growth plan tab in the top navigation bar.
- Click Create your own career goal.
- Choose the skill you want to develop.
- Click Next.
- Set small, measurable actions that will help you achieve your goal.
- Click Next.
- Set a time target for your goal.
- Set your preferred in-app notification reminder frequency (optional).
- Click Create goal.
A confirmation popup appears in the top-right corner of your screen when the goal is saved.
If Something Goes Wrong

| My Career Hub button does not appear | You are not recognized as a manager in 15Five | Contact your admin to verify your manager assignment in account settings |
| Create your own career goal button is not visible | You may already have a goal in progress, or the Growth plan tab did not fully load | Refresh the page; if the button still does not appear, contact your admin |
| Confirmation popup does not appear after clicking Create goal | The goal may not have saved | Refresh the page and check the Growth plan tab to confirm whether the goal was created; if it is missing, repeat the steps |
