Enable or disable objective creation for group types

> Note: Your organization may have renamed this feature. If you don't see Objectives in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.

Admins can control which group types are available when users create a group objective. When complete, only enabled group types appear in the group selector during objective creation.

Before You Begin

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Features > Objectives.
  2. Click the Objective types tab.
  3. Scroll to the Group-based types section.
  4. Click the toggle to the right of a group type to enable or disable objective creation for that type.
  5. Click Save.

Confirmation: Your changes save when the page refreshes without error. The toggle reflects the updated state.

> Note: When a user creates an objective and selects A group, the group type dropdown shows only group types with the Objectives toggle enabled.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
No group types appear in the Group-based types section Confirm at least one group type exists in your account Create a group type. See Create group types and groups one at a time (Admin).
Toggle change does not persist after saving Confirm you clicked Save before navigating away Return to Settings > Features > Objectives > Objective types and repeat steps 4–5.
Group type does not appear in the group selector during objective creation Confirm the toggle for that group type is enabled Enable the toggle and click Save.
