Objective owners can grant full editing access to other users so that contributors can update any field on the objective — not just their own key result progress. All changes are logged in the objective's activity feed.
Before You Begin
An account admin must enable the Who can edit and update this objective? setting before this option appears. Contact your admin if you do not see it.
Steps
When creating a new objective:
- Navigate to Objectives and select Add objective.
- Complete the objective fields as needed.
- Locate the Who can edit and update this objective? field.
- Select Anyone in the company or search for specific users to grant access.
- Save the objective.
When editing an existing objective:
- Navigate to Objectives and open the objective.
- Select Edit.
- Locate the Who can edit and update this objective? field.
- Add the users you want to grant full editing access to.
- Save the objective.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Who can edit and update this objective? field does not appear | Confirm the admin has enabled the setting | Ask your account admin to enable the setting in Objectives configuration |
| Granted user still cannot edit the objective | Confirm the save step completed without errors | Re-open the objective, re-add the user, and save again |
| Unexpected edits appear on the objective | Review the activity feed | Open the objective and check Objective activity feed to identify which user made changes |
