How to track objective progress in a Check-in

Objective and key result owners can update status directly from a weekly Check-in. This keeps goals visible each week and gives managers context before 1-on-1s.

Before You Begin

  • You must own at least one objective or key result in 15Five.
  • Your account must have access to the Objectives feature (Perform, Legacy Focus, or Total Platform packages).

Steps

  1. Navigate to your Check-ins tab and open your current Check-in.
  2. Locate the Objectives section at the top of the Check-in form.
  3. Find the objective or key result you want to update.
  4. Click the status indicator next to the objective or key result.
  5. Select the appropriate status: On Track, Behind, or At Risk.
  6. Enter a progress value or update the metric for the relevant key result.
  7. Add an optional comment to describe progress or blockers.
  8. Submit your Check-in as normal.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Objectives section does not appear in Check-in Confirm your account has Objectives access Contact your account admin to verify feature availability
No objectives listed in Check-in Confirm you are assigned as an owner of at least one active objective or key result Ask your manager or admin to assign ownership in the Objectives tab
Status changes are not saving Check that you submitted the full Check-in, not just the Objectives section Complete all required Check-in fields, then submit
Progress value field is missing Key result may be set to a non-numeric metric type Verify the key result configuration in the Objectives tab
