Engagement Admins receive a series of email notifications before an engagement campaign launches. This article lists each notification, its trigger condition, and its subject line.
Note: These notifications are sent to Engagement Admins and Organization Admins only. Participant notifications are documented separately — see Which notifications do participants receive during an engagement campaign?.
Key Rules
- All pre-launch notifications are sent to Engagement Admins and Organization Admins.
- Notifications are triggered automatically based on campaign schedule status.
- No pre-launch notifications are sent to participants.

What Each Notification Prompts Admins to Review
Each pre-launch notification directs admins to review the following campaign settings before confirming:
- Reminder Type — the delivery method for participant reminders (email, SMS, or both)
- Participant List — the Active Employees list the campaign will be sent to
- Reminder Schedule — the dates and times reminders will send to participants who have not yet responded
- Terminology Substitutions — custom wording applied to the campaign
- Whitelisting — ensuring 15Five emails are whitelisted so notifications reach employees
Important: A scheduled campaign will not send unless an Engagement Admin confirms it before the start date. If the campaign is not confirmed in time, it is marked as missed and must be rescheduled.
Common Misunderstanding
A scheduled campaign is not the same as a confirmed campaign. Scheduling sets the intended date; confirmation is the required action that allows the campaign to send. Admins receive escalating reminders until the campaign is confirmed or the start time passes.
