Set a start date when adding an employee one-off

Use the Add a person form to add a single employee to 15Five and set the date they can first log in. After saving, the person appears in the Manage people page with their access held until that date.

Before You Begin

  • You must have access to the Manage people page.
  • This workflow applies only to manually added users. If your account uses an HRIS integration or SCIM, refer to the integration-specific article instead.
  • Start date must be a future date. You cannot add a start date to someone already in 15Five.

Steps

  1. Click the Settings gear in the bottom-left corner of your 15Five account.
  2. Select People from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Add a person in the top-right corner of the screen.
  4. Fill in First name, Last name, Email, and Start date — the only required fields.
  5. Select whether to send an automatic welcome email on the start date.
  6. Confirm all other user settings.
  7. Click Save or Save and add another.

The person now appears in the Inactive tab of Manage people:

  • If you selected the invite email option: they appear under Pending invitations. The email will send at 8 AM in their timezone on their start date.
  • If you did not select the invite email option: they appear under Created people. Manually invite them later using the steps in the "Send an invitation to a created person" article.

If Something Goes Wrong
