The Notion integration connects your Notion workspace to 15Five AI, bringing the plans, documentation, project updates, and shared knowledge your teams create into 15Five's context layer.
15Five Agents can better understand organizational priorities, project context, and the work happening across teams by incorporating information from selected Notion pages and databases,. How Access Works
The Notion integration uses a page-based access model.
Only pages and databases shared with the 15Five AI connection, plus their child pages, are synced. Nothing is synced until a page is selected.
Page access follows Notion's native sharing model. If a parent page is shared, every page nested beneath it is included automatically. This includes pages added later. This means teams can grant access to an entire section of their workspace without manually selecting every page.
Access can be adjusted at any time within Notion by adding or removing pages from the integration.
Who sees insights from a shared page
Notion insights are tied to the people doing the work: anyone who creates, edits, or comments on a shared page. Those insights surface only to those same people. A page is never used to power insights for someone who hasn't contributed to it, including their managers or reviewers.
Comments aren't synced yet, so for now insights come from creating and editing pages.
Insights include the page title and a link back to Notion. People who only view a page are not identified.
Manage which pages are shared
- Add a page: open it in Notion, click ••• > Connections, and add the 15Five AI connection. On older Notion plans, use the Share menu. Child pages come along automatically, so share only the highest-level page you want included.
- Add pages from settings: in Notion, go to Settings > Connections and edit the 15Five AI connection's page access.
- Who can add pages: any Notion member with full access to a page can add it to the connection. On Enterprise plans, Workspace Owners can restrict who can add connections under Settings > Connections.
- Remove a page: open the page, or go to Settings > Connections > 15Five AI, and remove the page from the connection's access list. From the next sync onward, no new content from that page is sent to 15Five AI. Its child pages are removed with it.
- Keep a subpage out: move it outside the shared parent or restrict that page's own sharing settings, then confirm on the page itself: click ••• > Connections. If 15Five AI is no longer listed, the page is excluded.
- Teamspaces: connections attach to pages, not Teamspaces. Share specific top-level pages at the lowest level that fits. Move any pages you don't want synced outside the shared parent first, and expand one Teamspace at a time. You can review what's shared at any time under Settings > Connections > 15Five AI.
Adding or removing pages changes what flows into 15Five AI on the next sync. The connection itself does not change.
What Gets Synced
Once connected, 15Five AI syncs selected pages, databases, and workspace user information.

Workspace Users
To properly attribute work and content, the integration also syncs:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Profile avatars
The integration reads each user's primary email. This information is used to attribute pages to the right people and to match Notion authors and editors to their 15Five accounts.
Historical Activity
When first connected, 15Five AI imports up to 12 months of historical content and activity. Actual depth depends on retention settings and permissions in the source system, so some accounts may see less. After the initial backfill, updates are synchronized multiple times per day to keep information current.
Backfill typically completes within 24 hours.

What Does Not Get Synced
The Notion integration is intentionally limited to content that has been explicitly shared with the connection.
The following are not currently synced:
- Pages and databases that have not been shared with the integration
- Content outside the selected page hierarchy
- Comments and comment threads
Although the integration requests permission to read comments, comment data is not currently ingested.
Permissions Overview
The integration requests a limited set of permissions to access shared content and associate it with users.

The integration is read-only and cannot create, edit, delete, or modify content in Notion.
Key Rules
Before enabling the integration, it's important to understand the following:
- Only pages explicitly shared with the integration are available to 15Five AI.
- Sharing a parent page automatically includes all nested child pages.
- Content outside the selected page hierarchy remains inaccessible.
- Access is managed entirely within Notion.
- To install the integration, you need the Company Admin, HR Admin, or IT Admin role in 15Five, plus a Notion user who can install a connection. By default, any Notion workspace member can. On Notion Enterprise plans, this is often limited to Workspace Owners.
- The person who installs the integration needs full access to any page they share. Notion's page picker shows only pages where that person has full access.
- The integration is read-only and cannot modify content.
- Comments are not currently synced.
- Removing a page from the connection stops new content from that page as of the next sync.
- User information is used solely for attribution and account matching.
- Notion is a supported source for AI-Assisted Reviews. Activity from selected pages and databases can contribute to the evidence a review writer sees, but only from pages that person created, edited, or commented on. Common Questions
Can 15Five AI access my entire Notion workspace?
No. The integration can only access pages and databases that have been explicitly shared with it through Notion's page selection process.
What happens if I share a parent page?
All child pages nested beneath that parent page are automatically included in the integration's scope.
Can I change which pages are available later?
Yes. Access is managed directly in Notion and can be updated at any time by adding or removing pages from the integration.
Are comments synced?
Not currently. While the integration requests permission to read comments, comment data is not currently ingested. 15Five will update this article and notify customers before comments start syncing.
Can the integration edit pages or databases?
No. The integration is read-only and cannot create, edit, delete, or modify content in Notion.
How much historical content is imported?
The integration backfills up to 12 months of history during the initial connection.
How do we disconnect Notion?
In 15Five, go to Agents Hub > Integrations, find Notion, click Disconnect, and confirm. This stops syncing from Notion. As a fallback, remove 15Five AI in Notion under Settings > Connections. This immediately stops Notion from returning any further data to the integration.
