Who can see what Meeting Assistant writes?

This article covers who can see the prep, notes, and suggested actions Meeting Assistant generates for a 1-on-1.

Direct Answer

Only the people who were in the 1-on-1 can see the notes Meeting Assistant writes, and HR cannot see anything Meeting Assistant generates.

Key Rules

  • Meeting notes and suggested actions are visible only to the two people in the 1-on-1.
  • Meeting prep goes to the manager only.
  • HR cannot see anything Meeting Assistant generates.
  • Transcripts are never available to anyone.
  • A Global Viewer with 1-on-1 permissions can open a 1-on-1. A Global Viewer sees only what a person typed: shared notes, action items, and talking points.
  • A Global Viewer does not see prep, notes, or suggested actions that Meeting Assistant generates, unless a participant adds that content to shared notes, action items, or talking points.
  • On the Meeting Assistant page, each person sees only their own meetings and recaps.
  • Through the 15Five MCP, meeting notes and suggested actions are available only to the 1-on-1's participants.

Common Misunderstanding

Adding a suggested action to the 1-on-1's action items makes it part of the shared 1-on-1 record. Anyone who can see that 1-on-1's action items can then see it.
