This article covers which meetings Meeting Assistant captures and writes notes for.
Direct Answer
Meeting Assistant covers 1-on-1s between a manager and a direct report that your company's meeting source captures.
Key Rules
- Meeting Assistant skips all other meetings, including 1-on-1s that are not between a manager and their direct report.
- Group meetings are not covered. Group meeting support is coming soon.
- In-person meetings are not supported.
- Meeting Assistant covers only people inside the audience an admin selects in Who's covered.
- With Kona Notetaker as the source, Kona Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams meetings.
- With Google Meet as the source, every meeting syncs, but Meeting Assistant writes notes for a 1-on-1 only when Google Meet transcription or AI notes were on for that meeting.
- Kona Notetaker does not join when the other participant has no 15Five account, has an expired invite, or is deactivated.
- A phone dial-in or a meeting-room device counts as a third participant. Kona Notetaker pauses when one joins.
Common Misunderstanding
A two-person meeting that looks like a 1-on-1, such as an interview, can be picked up. Any participant can pause Kona Notetaker or type "Kona leave" to remove it from that meeting.
