1:1 Coaching Improvements

We elevated the 1:1 coaching experience for admins and coaching participants.

Release date: September 5th, 2024
Feature:
Transform training & coaching
Plan availability:
1:1 coaching is available as an add-on in any pricing plan

Back in June, we released the ability for HR Leaders to assign 1:1 coaching as a strategic action within an Action Plan. Since then, we've been working behind the scenes to make the experience of assigning, scheduling, and attending coaching sessions seamless.

Today we released the following updates:

  • The ability for admins to select a focus area when assigning coaching: The focus area for a coaching session is the primary topic/theme the coaching session will focus on developing or improving. With this release, admins can select a session focus area when assigning coaching to employees.
  • Elevated scheduling experience: Managers scheduling coaching sessions have access to a scheduling flow that allows them to select a focus area (if not already assigned), select a 15Five coach, set the date and time of the session, and add a team impact goal to target desired coaching outcomes.

  • Coaching session talking points and action items: Coaching participants and their selected coach have access to a coaching session page to help them plan and record insights from the coaching session. With this release, we've added sections to this page that coaching participants can use to add talking points and action items, linking coaching to outcomes to ongoing development actions.

  • Coaching notifications: Managers now receive email notifications for scheduling, booking confirmation, session reminders, and post-session recaps, ensuring they stay informed and engaged.

Customize the target group of an Action Plan

You can refine an Action Plan's target group to exclude those for whom the Action Plan is not relevant, ensuring it is more targeted and effective.

Release date: September 5th, 2024
Feature:
HR Outcomes Dashboard
Plan availability:
Engage, Legacy Perform, and Total Platform

An Action Plan's target group is the group of people that the plan is intended to impact. Defining a target group helps in setting clear, measurable goals and outcomes. It allows HR leaders to track the progress and effectiveness of the action plan specifically within that group, making it easier to assess whether the plan is achieving its intended results and make adjustments as needed.

As you select a target group, you may realize that you don't want to everyone who meets the selected criteria. For example— let's say you want to create an Action Plan with a goal to drive the performance of people in Jane's hierarchy. You select Jane's hierarchy as the target group, but don't want to include the top performers on Jane's team since the Action Plan won't be relevant to them.

Previously, there was no way to exclude individuals from a target group. Now, you can refine the target group to exclude those for whom the Action Plan is not relevant, ensuring it is more targeted and effective.
