This article explains how to adjust the weekday when Check-ins are due for people in your organization. While many companies choose Fridays as the due days for their Check-ins, there are plenty of reasons to pick a different day. For example, if your company follows a four-day workweek, Thursdays might be a better fit. Or, you may want managers to submit their Check-ins a day after their team members, giving them time to review their direct reports’ updates first. Whatever your preference, 15Five makes it simple to customize Check-in due dates to suit your team's needs.

Bulk import People settings

If you're changing the Check-in due day for a large number of people or your entire company, the best way to do so is via bulk import CSV. This section walks through how to bulk update due day via CSV. To read more about our bulk import feature, check out the "Bulk import or update people" Help Center article.

  1. Click on the 'Settings' gear in the top, right-hand corner of 15Five.
    Open_Settings.png
  2. Select 'People' from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click the 'Import' tab in the top navigation bar.

  4. You are now on the bulk import page, where you'll upload a CSV file to change employee due dates. Click Download current structure at the top of the page to download a CSV containing current employee information. You can make changes directly to this CSV and upload it to change due days.

    Tip

We recommend downloading an additional copy of your company’s current employment structure and saving it in a secure location as a backup in case any unintended changes occur during the CSV upload process.

  5. Prep your bulk import CSV. To update the due day via bulk import, you only need to include two columns in your bulk import CSV: the employee's unique identifier (either email or employee_id) and due_day. The unique employee identifier used for your company is set in your company's import settings (in-app link).
    • If you'd like to update the due day for everyone in your organization, the easiest way to do so is to edit the company's current structure CSV you downloaded in step #4 and delete all columns except for the unique identifier (either email or employee_id) and due_day. Then, change the day in the due_day column to the new due day.
    • If you'd like to update the due day for select individuals, you can do the same thing, and only update the due_day column in the CSV for those people.
  6. After preparing your CSV, export it in the UTF-8 CSV format. Then, click Choose file at the bottom of the screen and select the CSV from your computer.

  7. A Preview import screen will appear. Review the changes to be made, then click Finish import.
