Set up group-level transparency for Check-ins

Group-level transparency lets members of a defined group view each other's Check-ins and drill down into their teammates' direct reports. After completing this setup, all group members can see one another's Check-ins within 15Five.

Before You Begin

  • You must have Admin access in 15Five.
  • All people you want to include in the group must already exist as users in your account.
  • Decide the scope of your group: a single all-company group for full organizational transparency, a team or department group, or a leadership-only group for executive visibility.

Steps

  1. Go to SettingsPeopleManage Groups.
  2. Select an existing group type or click Create new group type.
  3. Enter a name for the group type (for example, Department or Leadership).
  4. Open the group where you want to add members.
  5. Click Add members.
  6. Search for and select each person to include in the group.
  7. Click Save to confirm the member list.
  8. Locate the Group viewing toggle for the group.
  9. Enable Group viewing.
  10. Locate the Group drill-down toggle for the group.
  11. Enable Group drill-down.
  12. Click Save to apply both settings.

> For full organizational transparency: Create one group that includes every employee, then complete steps 8–12.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
A group member cannot see another member's Check-ins Confirm both users are in the same group Open the group in Manage Groups and verify both names appear in the member list
Group viewing or Group drill-down toggles are not visible Confirm you are viewing the correct group type Navigate back to Manage Groups, select the specific group type, and look for the toggles on that group's settings page
A newly added member still has no visibility Confirm the user logged out and back in after being added Ask the user to sign out and sign back in to refresh their permissions
Changes were not saved No confirmation appeared after saving Repeat steps 8–12 and watch for a confirmation message before navigating away
