After all reviews are submitted, managers, Review admins, and cycle collaborators complete the review summary, share results with participants, and finalize the review. Finalized results are locked from further edits unless explicitly reopened.
This article covers the standard review summary, which is written by a manager, shared with the participant, and finalized as part of review results. It is not the same as the Review Summary inside the conversation guide in AI-Assisted Reviews. That Review Summary is manager-private: it is not displayed or sent to the participant when results are shared or finalized, and Share results shares the standard review, not the Review Summary.
Before You Begin
- All reviews for the participant must be submitted before you can complete the summary.
- If calibration sessions are part of the cycle, hold and lock them before sharing results.
- You must have a Manager, Review Admin, or Cycle Collaborator role for the relevant participant.
Steps
- Navigate to Reviews in the left sidebar.
- Select the active review cycle.
- Locate the participant whose summary you want to complete.
- Click View summary next to the participant's name.
- Review all submitted self, manager, peer, and upward reviews in the summary panel.
- Enter your written summary in the Summary field.
- Click Save to preserve your draft without submitting.
- Schedule a meeting with the participant to discuss results.
- When ready to share, click Share results on the participant's summary page.
- Confirm the share action in the dialog that appears.
- Hold the scheduled meeting with the participant.
- Return to the participant's summary page to make any final edits.
- Click Finalize to lock the summary and results.
- Confirm the finalization in the dialog that appears.
Everything you enter in the Summary field in these steps is part of the standard review summary and follows the sharing and finalization behavior above. If the cycle uses AI-Assisted Reviews and conversation guides are enabled, the manager may also have a separate manager-private Review Summary inside the conversation guide. That one is not affected by Share results or Finalize.
If Something Goes Wrong
