Access and availability
⛔️ Required access to the "Manage people" page.
👥 This article is relevant to Account admins and Managers.
📦 This capability is available in all pricing packages.
Note
Account admins can manage account settings for all employees. Managers can manage account settings for people in their hierarchy.
How to Update Account Settings 🧑💻
- Click People in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation.
- You'll land on the "Manage people" page. From here, use the filters or search bar at the top of the page to search for the person whose settings you want to edit.
- Click a person's name to open their account settings page.
- Make desired changes. When you're done, click Save at the bottom of the relevant section.
- The following sections may appear on a person's account settings page. Read more about the information that you can control using the dropdowns below.
Note
Any editable field can be changed. If a field appears greyed out, it’s likely being synced automatically from an integration like your HRIS. In that case, make the update in your HRIS, and 15Five will reflect the change during the next sync.

Note
Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are considered core attributes in 15Five. These attributes are essential for powering strategic insights and reporting across the platform. We recommend populating them for all employees. You can view your organization’s attribute coverage directly from the Attributes page (People → Attributes).
Private AttributesThis section contains private employee attributes that are only visible to HR Admins. Attributes are labels you can apply to individuals in 15Five to help organize people data and power filtering, reporting, and analysis across the platform. They enable you to uncover trends, segment your workforce, and take targeted action where it matters most.
- The High-Potential attribute is used to identify employees who have the potential to make a big impact on the organization. Use this checkbox to mark the employee as high potential. Learn more →
- Demographic attributes are identity-related fields used for strategic insights (Birth Date, Ethnicity, Gender, Race, and Salary). These are read-only in account settings and will only appear if enabled in your account. You can populate demographic attributes via bulk import CSV or your HRIS.
Tip
Enabling and populating demographic attributes makes your people data more actionable. These fields power segmentation, uncover equity trends, and support targeted strategies across 15Five. Without them, it's harder to diagnose issues and drive meaningful change.
Additional Information (Custom Attributes)Use this section to assign custom attribute values to the employee. Custom attributes allow you to track and manage people data unique to your company, like certification level, role level, or even T-shirt size.
Note
This section will only appear if custom attributes have been created in your organization. You’ll only be able to view or populate these fields if your role has the appropriate visibility and editing permissions.
