Admins and qualifying managers can reassign a person's direct manager individually or in bulk. When complete, the new manager appears on the person's account settings page.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the Manage people page. Account admins have this access by default. A person's current manager can reassign their direct report only if the new manager is within their reporting hierarchy.
- If your organization syncs managers to 15Five via an HRIS or identity provider, make manager changes in that system instead. Changes made directly in 15Five will revert on the next sync. See Configure HRIS sync settings and run a data sync for details.
Change one person's manager
- Click the settings gear icon in the bottom-left corner of 15Five.
- Select People from the dropdown menu.
- On the Manage people page, use the search bar or filters to find the person.
- Click the person's name to open their account settings.
- Scroll to the Account settings section.
- Click the dropdown arrow under Direct Manager.
- Select the new manager from the dropdown list.
- Click Save.
Success state: The new manager's name appears under Direct Manager on the person's account settings page.
Change multiple people's managers at once
- Click the settings gear icon in the bottom-left corner of 15Five.
- Select People from the dropdown menu.
- On the Manage people page, use the Search for teammate field or Filter by dropdown to locate the people you want to update.
- Check the box to the left of each person whose manager you want to change.
- Click Actions at the top of the page.
- Select Change manager from the dropdown menu.
- Select the new manager from the list.
- Click Change manager.
Success state: Changes apply immediately. Each selected person's account settings page reflects the new manager.
