Change Check-in due days

This article covers how to change the weekday when Check-ins are due — for one person or many.

Before You Begin

  • Change due days only on the first day of a new Check-in period. Changing mid-period may create duplicate or missing Check-ins. If this occurs, contact 15Five Support.
  • Admins can change due days for anyone in the organization. Managers can change due days for their direct reports only.
  • This feature requires access to Check-in feature settings and is available on the Perform, Legacy Focus, and Total Platform packages.

Change one person's due day

  1. Go to People > Manage People.
  2. Search for the person and click their name.
  3. Scroll to the Account settings section.
  4. Locate the Due day field.
  5. Select the new due day from the Due day dropdown.
  6. Click Save.

What you should see: The Due day field displays the newly selected day after saving.

Change due days for multiple people

Choose one of the two methods below.

Method 1: Bulk import

Use this method when updating due days for many people at once.

  1. Prepare a CSV file with exactly two columns: the employee's unique identifier (email or employeeid) and dueday.
  2. Update the due_day values as needed.
  3. Save the file in UTF-8 CSV format.
  4. Follow the steps in Add People to 15Five — Overview of Methods to complete a bulk import.
  5. Click Choose file and upload your CSV.
  6. Review changes on the Preview import screen.
  7. Click Finish import.

What you should see: The Preview import screen lists each affected person with the updated due day before you confirm.

Method 2: People settings

Use this method when updating a small number of people directly in the UI.

  1. Go to People > Manage People.
  2. Use the search box or filters to find the people you want to update.
  3. Check the box next to each person's name.
  4. Click Actions.
  5. Select Change Check-in due day.
  6. Select the new due day from the dropdown.
  7. Click Change due day.

What you should see: The selected people's due day updates immediately in Manage People.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Duplicate or missing Check-ins after changing a due day Confirm the change was made mid-period, not on the first day of a new period Contact 15Five Support with the affected person's name and the date the change was made
Save button does not update the due day for an individual Confirm you have Admin or Manager permissions for that person Log out and back in; if the issue persists, contact 15Five Support
Bulk import fails on upload Open the CSV and confirm it uses exactly two columns: email or employeeid, and dueday Correct the column headers or encoding (UTF-8), then re-upload
Bulk import preview shows no changes Confirm the due_day values in the CSV differ from the current values in 15Five Re-export current due days, update the values, and re-upload
Change Check-in due day option missing from Actions menu Confirm at least one person's checkbox is selected Select one or more checkboxes, then reopen the Actions menu
