The Role Clarity tab helps you review your job responsibilities and rate how energizing each one is. After completing this tab, you can share your results with your manager to have targeted conversations about your role.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to Career Hub (available on Perform and Total Platform packages).
- Ask your manager or an account administrator to add your job description and responsibilities before you begin. Steps below depend on those being populated.
Steps
- Click My Career Hub in the left-hand navigation bar.
- Click the Role clarity tab in the Career Hub top navigation bar.
- Review the Job title & description section to confirm your title and description are correct.
- Review the Job responsibilities section for any missing items.
- Click + Add responsibility to add any missing responsibility, project, or task.
- Type the new responsibility in the text field.
- Click Submit to save it.
- Locate the first responsibility in the list and click its energizing level selector.
- Select one of the four levels: Energizing, Somewhat energizing, Somewhat de-energizing, or De-energizing.
- Repeat steps 8–9 for every responsibility in the list.
- Click the comment icon to the right of any responsibility to add an optional comment.
- Scroll to the Projects & tasks section and click + Add to enter any additional items.
- Rate each project or task by energizing level, as in steps 8–10.
- Confirm the Share with manager button has turned orange at the bottom of the screen.
- Click Share with manager to send your energizing levels to your manager.
- Return to the My overview tab and check off the Role Clarity to-dos to track your progress.

> Visibility: Responsibilities, projects, and tasks are visible to you and your manager in real time. Energizing levels are private until you click Share with manager. Comments become visible to your manager after you share.
If Something Goes Wrong
