Configure your review cycle correctly before creating calibration sessions. Without the right review type and calibration settings enabled, the Calibrations tab will not appear in an active cycle.
Before You Begin
Confirm your manager review question template includes the sections you plan to use in calibration — such as Private Manager Assessment, Company Values, Competencies, or Objectives.
Decide how you want to add questions to your review cycle
Steps
- Navigate to Reviews in the left-hand navigation.
- Click Create review cycle (or open a draft cycle to edit).
- In the Review type section, select the option to include manager reviews.
- Scroll to the Review timeline section.
- Select the option to include calibrations in the review cycle.
- Set the Manager review due by date.
- Set the Calibrations due by date at least 2–3 weeks after the manager review due date.
- Complete remaining cycle settings and save the cycle.
> Timeline guidance: Calibration sessions can begin after the Manager review due by date and must be locked by the Calibrations due by date. Allow 2–3 weeks depending on your organization's size and the number of sessions planned.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Calibrations option not visible in timeline section | Manager reviews not selected in the Review type section | Return to Review type and enable manager reviews, then revisit the timeline section |
| Calibrations tab missing in an active cycle | Calibrations were not enabled before the cycle launched | Calibrations cannot be added after a cycle is launched; create a new cycle with calibrations enabled |
| Cannot set a Calibrations due by date earlier than Manager review due by date | Date entry order | Set the Manager review due by date first, then set the Calibrations due by date to a later date |
