Request Feedback from a Teammate in Slack

Use the /request-feedback slash command in any Slack channel or direct message to send a feedback request to one or more teammates.

Before You Begin

  • A 15Five account admin must have already connected the 15Five app for Slack.
  • Your Slack account and 15Five account must use the same email address.

Steps

  1. Open any Slack channel or direct message.
  2. Type /request-feedback and press Enter or Send.
  3. Wait for the Request Feedback popup to appear. Nothing posts in the channel.
  4. Click the Who would you like feedback from? dropdown.
  5. Select one or more people to receive the request.
  6. Click the What would you like feedback about? field.
  7. Describe the project, presentation, or topic you want feedback on.
  8. Optionally, add specific questions at the end of your description to guide respondents.
  9. Click the Share feedback with your manager dropdown.
  10. Select Yes to give your direct manager visibility into responses, or leave the default to keep responses visible only to you and the responder.
  11. Click Submit request.

After submitting, each selected person receives a notification to provide feedback.
