Send an external High Five to recognize someone who does not have a 15Five account. When sent, the recipient receives an email notification from notifications@15five.com with the subject line "You received a High Five!"
Before You Begin
- Your organization must have High Fives enabled. Contact your admin if you do not see High Fives in the left navigation.
Steps
- Go to High Fives in the left navigation.
- Click the Give a High Five text box at the top of the feed.
- Type @ followed by the recipient's full external email address.
- Select the email address from the dropdown to confirm the mention.
- Type your High Five message.
- Optional: Type # to select a company value from the dropdown.
- Click High Five!
The High Five appears in the High Fives feed. The recipient receives an email at the address you entered. Clicking Reply to this High Five in that email opens a blank email addressed to you.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Email address does not appear in the dropdown after typing @ | Confirm you typed a complete, valid email address format (e.g., name@domain.com) | Retype the full email address; partial addresses do not resolve to a dropdown option |
| High Five does not appear in the feed after clicking High Five! | Check whether the text box is empty or the mention was not confirmed | Re-enter the recipient mention and message, then click High Five! again |
| Recipient reports no email received | Check whether the sending address notifications@15five.com is blocked | Ask the recipient to add notifications@15five.com to their allowlist and resend |
