Trigger a Manual Lifecycle Survey

Admins can manually send a Lifecycle Survey to one or more employees at any time, independent of an automated trigger. When complete, the selected participants receive a survey notification by email.

Before You Begin

  • You must have access to the Lifecycle Surveys Dashboard. Contact your account owner if this is not visible in your navigation.

Steps

  1. Go to Surveys > Lifecycle in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Scroll to the Surveys section.
  3. Locate the survey you want to send.
  4. Click the ellipsis (•••) next to the survey name.
  5. Select Send manually.
  6. Select the employee(s) to include in the survey.
  7. Click Send.

The survey moves to an active state and participants receive an email notification. The survey appears in the participant list with a Sent status.

Note: Participants have 14 days to complete the survey before it expires. An automatic reminder is sent after 7 days if the survey is not completed. See for full rules.

If Something Goes Wrong

The Send manually option does not appear in the ellipsis menu Confirm the survey is not currently paused Resume the survey from the ellipsis menu, then retry
No employees appear in the participant selection list Confirm the employees are active and not already in an open instance of this survey Close any open survey instances for those employees, then retry
