The 15Five AI Microsoft OneDrive integration connects your OneDrive content to 15Five AI so agents can surface document summaries, themes, and references to help managers and teams stay aligned. Nothing is synced automatically — an admin explicitly selects the folders and files to include via a file picker. The integration connects through a single authenticated Microsoft 365 account; a dedicated integration user is strongly recommended over a personal account.
Access and Availability
| Role | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Microsoft Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator | Required to grant tenant-wide admin consent during setup |
| 15Five Company Admin, HR Admin, or IT Admin | Required to initiate the connection and manage file selection from Agents Hub |
The same person can hold both roles, or two people can coordinate setup. A dedicated integration user is strongly recommended. If the connected account is deactivated or loses access to the relevant content, the integration will stop working.
Note: To ensure the highest level of security, 15Five is continually investing in our overall information security program, resources, and expertise. To review 15Five's security documents, and how we handle your company data, see our Trust Website.
Feature Structure
The integration is configured from Agents Hub > Integrations > OneDrive.
Permissions and access
Scope is set by selecting specific folders and files. 15Five AI only works with content that your admins choose using the file picker. Nothing will be synced until a selection is made.
Insights are anchored to participation. The insights are tied to the people involved with the work: the authors, collaborators, and commenters on each document. Admins can also include broader context, like a company-wide planning document, which may show up in different briefs if they choose to add it.
File Selection
| Selection Type | What's Included |
|---|---|
| Individual file | That file only |
| Folder | Everything inside, including subfolders and items added later |
Selections can be added or removed at any time from Agents Hub > Integrations > Microsoft OneDrive > Manage.
What gets synced
Once the integration is set up, 15Five AI will gather content from the OneDrive folders and individual files that an admin chooses in the file picker. Nothing will sync until something is selected.
For each selected file or folder:
- Document content — read and processed in memory; not stored
- Document comments (when enabled on the document)
- Document revision history
- Document metadata — title, owner, last modified date, sharing details
- Author and editor names and email addresses (read from Microsoft 365 directory to map to 15Five accounts)
Backfill and Sync Cadence
When you first select items in 15Five AI, it will sync everything you chose. This includes folders, which means if you pick a folder, it will also include all the files and subfolders inside it, even those added later.
After the first sync, any updates will be synced continuously.

Selecting folders and files to sync
After connecting the integration, an admin can choose which OneDrive content 15Five AI will use.
- In 15Five, go to Agents Hub → Integrations.
- Find OneDrive and click Manage.
- Click Select Files to open the file picker.
- Browse OneDrive and check the folders and files you want to include. You can select individual files or entire folders (everything inside, including subfolders and items added later, will be included).
- Click Confirm to save your selection.
15Five AI will start using the selected content. This process usually completes within 24 hours.
Key Rules
- Nothing is synced until an admin explicitly selects folders or files via the file picker.
- Only items the integration user can access in OneDrive are visible in the file picker.
- Selecting a folder is recursive — all contents, subfolders, and future items added to that folder are included.
- Document content is processed in memory and not stored; only metadata, revision history, and comments are retained.
- A dedicated integration user is strongly recommended over a personal account. If the connected account is deactivated or loses access, the integration will break.
- Removing an item from the selection stops new content from that item from syncing immediately.
- The integration can be disconnected from Agents Hub > Integrations, or by revoking access in the Microsoft Entra admin center under Enterprise applications.
What Microsoft OneDrive data syncs to 15Five AI?
15Five AI syncs content from OneDrive folders and files selected by an admin. For each selected item, 15Five AI ingests document content, comments, revision history, document metadata, and author or editor names and email addresses. Raw document content is read and processed, but is not stored.
Does OneDrive content sync automatically after connection?
No. After Microsoft OneDrive is connected, no content syncs automatically. An admin must select specific folders or files in the file picker before 15Five AI ingests OneDrive content.
What happens when an admin selects a OneDrive folder?
Selecting a folder includes everything inside it, including subfolders and items added later. After the initial selection, 15Five AI syncs updates on an ongoing basis.
Why is a dedicated OneDrive integration user recommended?
Microsoft Graph file access is delegated, so 15Five AI accesses OneDrive through one authenticated Microsoft 365 account. A dedicated integration user keeps the connection separate from an employee account and prevents sync interruptions if a person leaves the company or loses access.
Can selected OneDrive files or folders be removed from sync?
Yes. An admin can remove a selected file or folder from the Microsoft OneDrive integration settings. Once removed, no new content from that item is synced.
