No. Kona does not record audio or video in your meetings.
Kona joins 1-on-1 meetings as a silent participant and captures structured notes and action items from the conversation. In most scenarios, Kona works by reading meeting captions provided by your conference platform — it does not need to record the call.
Exception: If meeting captions are disabled in your conference platform, Kona falls back to a secondary method that requires recording the call. In this case, the meeting host must be present to grant recording permissions. To avoid this, ensure meeting captions are enabled in your Google Meet or Microsoft Teams settings.
