Use these steps to control whether Kona automatically joins your 1-on-1s and to remove Kona from a specific recurring meeting. When you enable Auto Join, you choose whether it applies to your existing 1-on-1s or only to ones you create later. Kona does not rejoin meetings you have manually removed it from.
Before You Begin
You must have Kona access enabled on your account. Contact your HR Admin if My Settings does not show Kona options.
Enable or Disable Auto Join
- Open My Settings in 15Five.
- Navigate to the Kona section.
- Toggle Auto Join on or off.
- When enabling, choose the scope in the prompt:
- All new and existing 1-on-1s — Kona joins your current recurring 1-on-1s and future ones.
- Newly created 1-on-1s only — Kona joins only 1-on-1s you create after enabling.
- Confirm your choice to save.
Confirmation: The Kona section shows Auto Join as on, with your selected scope applied.
When Auto Join is off, Kona does not join future meetings automatically. Changing the scope does not add Kona to any meeting you previously removed it from.
Remove Kona from a Specific Recurring Meeting
Use one of two options.
Option 1 — Remove via My Settings
- Open My Settings in 15Five.
- Navigate to the Kona section.
- Expand the section for the relevant recurring meeting.
- Select the option to remove Kona from that meeting.
Option 2 — Remove via your calendar
- Open the meeting invite in your calendar application.
- Remove Kona from the attendee list.
- Save the updated invite.
After calendar removal, Kona will not rejoin that meeting even if Auto Join is enabled, and enabling "All new and existing 1-on-1s" will not re-add it.
