Manage Kona Auto Join and recurring meeting settings

Use these steps to control whether Kona automatically joins your future 1-on-1s and to remove Kona from a specific recurring meeting. Changes take effect on future meetings only.

Before You Begin

You must have Kona access enabled on your account. Contact your HR Admin if My Settings does not show Kona options.

Enable or Disable Auto Join

  1. Open My Settings in 15Five.
  2. Navigate to the Kona section.
  3. Toggle Auto Join on or off.

When Auto Join is on, Kona automatically joins eligible future 1-on-1s. When Auto Join is off, Kona does not join future meetings automatically.

Remove Kona from a Specific Recurring Meeting

Use one of two options.

Option 1 — Remove via My Settings

  1. Open My Settings in 15Five.
  2. Navigate to the Kona section.
  3. Expand the section for the relevant recurring meeting.
  4. Select the option to remove Kona from that meeting.

Option 2 — Remove via your calendar

  1. Open the meeting invite in your calendar application.
  2. Remove Kona from the attendee list.
  3. Save the updated invite.

After calendar removal, Kona will not rejoin that meeting even if Auto Join is enabled.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Auto Join toggle is missing from My Settings Confirm your account has Kona access Contact your HR Admin to verify Kona Meeting Assistant is enabled for your account
Kona rejoined a meeting after calendar removal Confirm the calendar change was saved to all events in the series, not just one instance Re-open the recurring invite, remove Kona from the full series, and save
Kona did not join after enabling Auto Join Check that the meeting has exactly two participants on the invite Remove any extra attendees; Kona only joins meetings with exactly two participants
