Analyze Lifecycle Survey Results

Use the Overview and All Results reports to review Lifecycle Survey responses by participant and question. When complete, the All Results report displays responses for all participants with filtering and comparison options active.

Before You Begin

  • You must have Account Admin access, or manager access granted via the Manager visibility into team results setting during survey setup. See .
  • This feature is available on the Total Platform, Legacy Perform, and Engage pricing packages.

Steps

  1. Go to Surveys > Lifecycle in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Scroll to the Surveys section and click the name of the survey you want to view.

- Alternatively, click the ellipsis () to the right of the survey name and select View details. A side drawer opens showing a participant-level summary. Click the link in the drawer to open the full results page.

  1. Select the Overview tab to see participant-level status.

- Status values: Complete, Incomplete, or Expired. - Employee and manager surveys appear as connected collapsible rows. - The list shows who triggered each survey.

  1. Use the People filter to focus on a specific person or group.
  2. Use the Quick filters to show only completed, incomplete, or expired surveys.
  3. Click View results next to a participant's name to open their response drawer.

- Manager and employee responses appear in separate tabs within the drawer. - Use the search box to find specific questions. - Use the filters in the drawer to narrow results by response.

  1. Click the All Results tab to see response breakdowns by question across all participants.
  2. Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow results by group, attribute, or outcome.
  3. Use the Compare by filter in the top-right corner to compare responses across time: monthly, quarterly, or yearly.
  4. Click an answer bucket within a statement's reporting to see which participants gave that response.
Note: Use the survey dropdown in the reporting view to switch between Lifecycle Surveys without leaving the page.

Create an Action Plan from Results

  1. From the All Results tab, apply filters to define your target group.
  2. Click Draft Action Plan.
  3. See Create an Action Plan for next steps.

Lifecycle Survey Controls

The Surveys list provides the following controls and contextual information:

  • Filter by type — Switch between Triggered and Manual surveys.
  • Key context — View trigger schedules, next send dates, upcoming audiences, and response rates directly from the survey list.
  • Pause / Resume — Pause or resume a survey from the survey list.
  • Participant details — Open a side panel to review participant status, next send dates, and response rates. Available quick actions: Re-open, Nudge, View results.
  • Preview template questions — Preview both employee and manager questions from the survey overview before sending.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Survey name does not appear in the Surveys list Confirm the survey has been created and is not in a draft state Go to survey setup and publish the survey, or contact your Account Admin
View results button is not visible next to a participant Confirm the participant has a status of Complete No action — results are only available for completed submissions
All Results tab shows no data Confirm at least one participant has a Complete status Wait for submissions, or check that the survey is active and not paused
Manager cannot access results Confirm Manager visibility into team results was enabled during survey setup See for how to check this setting
