The Statements Report shows how employees responded to each statement in your engagement survey, with metrics for average response, trend, percentile, and response distribution. When complete, you will have applied filters, sorted columns, and pinned statements to focus your analysis.
Before You Begin
- You must have Full or Limited + Groups results visibility for an engagement campaign. See View Engagement Campaign Participants for access details.
- The Statements Report is available on the Engage, Total Platform, and Legacy Perform pricing packages.
Steps
- Go to Engage > Results > Statements.
- Select a campaign from the campaign selector at the top of the page.
- Review the statement table. Each row contains the following metrics:
- Statement — the survey statement participants responded to - Driver — the engagement driver the statement belongs to (hover over the driver name to see its definition) - Predictive Impact — how much the statement influenced the overall engagement score (available for Total Engagement and Engagement Score + Drivers survey types only; other survey types show highest and lowest raw average scores instead) - Average Response — the mean score across all participant responses on a 0–4 scale - Trend — change in score since the last survey - Percentile — how responses compare to other organizations in the 15Five dataset (available for 15Five-created statements only) - Distribution — bar chart showing the spread of Unfavorable, Neutral, and Favorable responses
- Click any column header to sort the table by that metric.
- To filter for high-impact statements, click the Pin Statements dropdown at the top of the table and select one option:
- Top 5 Negative Impact — statements with the most negative Predictive Impact Scores - Top 5 Positive Impact — statements with the most positive Predictive Impact Scores - Top 5 Overall Impact — five statements with the highest absolute impact, positive or negative - Engagement Driver-Specific Statements — statements tied to one specific driver
- To filter by team or demographic, use the filter controls at the top of the report.
- To pin a statement to the top of the table, hover over the row.
- Click the pin icon that appears on the left side of the row.
- To see a detailed response breakdown for any distribution bar, hover over that bar.
- To display responses across the full 5-point scale, toggle on Show full answer distributions in the top-right corner of the table.
Review the Other Statements Section
The Other Statements section appears below the main statement table. It contains statements from supplemental surveys — including Manager Effectiveness, Organizational Commitment, Topic-Based Surveys, and any custom surveys your organization added to the campaign.
These statements do not include Predictive Impact Scores. Each row shows Statement, Average Response, Percentile (15Five-created surveys only), Trend, and Distribution.
- Scroll down to the Other Statements section to review supplemental survey results.
- Apply the same sorting and filter controls as the main table to narrow results.
What Correct Completion Looks Like
The statement table displays rows for all statements in your campaign. Pinned statements appear at the top of the table. Active column sorting is indicated by a highlighted column header. Applied filters are shown in the filter bar above the table.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Statements Report is not visible in the navigation | Confirm your results visibility role is Full or Limited + Groups | Ask your HR admin to verify your results visibility setting for this campaign |
| Predictive Impact column shows no scores | Check which survey type was used for the campaign | Predictive Impact Scores are only generated for Total Engagement and Engagement Score + Drivers survey types — no action available for other survey types |
| Percentile column is blank for some statements | Check whether the statements are custom or 15Five-created | Percentile data is not available for custom survey statements; this is expected behavior |
| Rows are hidden with a "# hidden due to confidentiality" message | The group does not meet your organization's confidentiality threshold | Adjust the demographic filter to include a larger group, or contact your HR admin to review the confidentiality threshold setting |
| Pin Statements dropdown shows no results | Confirm the campaign has more than 5 statements with Predictive Impact Scores | This filter requires enough scored statements to populate; if the campaign used a non-predictive survey type, the filter will not return results |
| Other Statements section does not appear | Confirm the campaign included supplemental surveys | If no supplemental surveys were added to the campaign, this section does not display |
