The Features Overview page gives Account admins a single view of which features are enabled for your organization. From this page, you can configure Smart Groups, Permissions, and Demographic Attributes. All other feature-specific settings are also accessible from their individual feature settings pages.
How to access Features Overview
Go to Settings > Features > Features overview.
What you can configure here
Smart Groups
Smart Groups creates manager-specific groups that automatically update as direct reports move between managers. Enabling this setting reduces manual group management.
Configurable options:
- Show all Smart Groups to admins — Account admins can view and manage Smart Groups from the Manage groups page.
- @mentioning Smart Groups in High Fives — Any user can @mention a Smart Group in a High Five.
- Disable Smart Groups — Removes Smart Groups from all surfaces in 15Five.
For full setup instructions, see Configure Smart Groups settings.
Permissions
The Permissions section controls cross-product access behaviors. Configurable options:
- Direct Access from Email — Users access 15Five directly from email notification links without signing in first.
- Mentions — Controls @all mentions (everyone in the organization) and @group mentions in Check-ins and High Fives.
- Followers — Controls whether users can send follow requests to view another team member's Check-ins.
For full setup instructions, see Configure Permissions settings (Direct Access, Mentions, Followers).
Demographic Attributes
Demographic Attributes allow HR admins to filter reporting by workforce demographics: Birthdate, Ethnicity, Gender, Race, and Salary. This option is visible to HR admins only.
Once enabled, demographic attributes are available in:
- Engagement — Engagement Admins can filter results by demographic attributes.
- Performance Reviews — HR admins can filter company review results by demographic attribute.
- Check-ins — HR admins can filter the Submitted Check-ins and Reviewed Check-ins reporting dashboards by demographic attribute.
For full setup instructions, see Enable and configure Demographic Attributes.
Compensation Visibility
Compensation Visibility controls which roles can see the Compensation navigation. New accounts default to admin-only visibility. Existing accounts retain their current settings.
For a full explanation of visibility rules, see [How does Compensation Visibility work for admins and managers?].
Key Rules
- Smart Groups, Permissions, and Demographic Attributes are configured exclusively from the Features Overview page.
- All other settings visible on the Features Overview page are also accessible from their respective feature settings pages.
- Demographic Attributes require HR admin access to enable. Account admins without the HR admin role do not see this option.
