Pull a custom report

Admins can generate a custom report to export data for a specific individual, group, or the entire company. A successfully generated report opens in your browser and can be printed or downloaded as a CSV.

Before You Begin

  • You must have Account Admin access. Custom Reports are not available to managers or employees.
  • You can only generate reports for people you have permission to manage. See Reporting permissions by role in 15Five for details.

Steps

  1. Go to Insights Dashboard in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click the Reports tab.
  3. Click Explore in the Custom Reports block.
  4. Select the data type for your report.

Choose one of the following: - How did you feel at work since your last Check-in? (Pulse) - Priorities - Questions - High Fives - Objectives and Key Results

  1. Set your filters based on the data type selected:

Pulse - Who is included? — Select Everyone or Specific Groups and Individuals. - Time frame — Select Last week, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last year, or Custom. - Include comments? — Select Yes or No.

Priorities - Who is included? — Select Everyone or Specific Groups and Individuals. - Time frame — Select Last week, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last year, or Custom. - Include comments? — Select Yes or No.

Questions - Who is included? — Select Everyone or Specific Groups and Individuals. - Time frame — Select Last week, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last year, or Custom. - What question? — Use the search bar or filters to select a Check-in question. - Include comments? — Select Yes or No.

High Fives - Who is included? — Select Everyone or Specific Groups and Individuals. - High Fives type — Select High Fives Given, High Fives Received, or Both. - Time frame — Select Last week, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last year, or Custom. - Include comments? — Select Yes or No.

Objectives and Key Results - Who is included? — Select Everyone, Specific objective owners, Specific group types, or Everyone who reports to a specific manager. - Specific criteria — Select the checkbox next to any objective criteria to filter which objectives appear. - Include comments? — Select Yes or No.

  1. Click Generate report.
  2. Review the Custom Report Results that open in your browser.
  3. To edit, delete, or favorite the report, use the icons in the top-right corner of the Results box.
  4. To save results, click Print or Download in the top-right corner of the report.

Confirmation: The report displays rows of data matching your selected filters. If the results table is populated, the report generated successfully.

Note: If you navigate away from a generated report, reopen it from the Custom Reports dashboard.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Report opens but contains no rows Verify the selected time frame includes periods when Check-ins were submitted Expand the time frame or select Custom to include the correct date range
Report contains no rows after editing an existing report Editing an existing report does not retroactively apply new criteria Create and generate a new report with the updated criteria
Some users are missing from report results Confirm you have manage access to those users Ask an Account Admin with broader access to run the report, or request global viewer permissions
A specific question returns no data Confirm the question is currently active Go to Check-in settings and verify the question status is Active
