- Select Edit objective from the dropdown menu.
- Edit any of the following fields:
- Name - Description - Owner - Type — Self-development, Individual, Group, or Company-wide - Alignment — parent objective alignment - Key results - Start and end date - Privacy setting — Public, 15Five permissions, or Specific people
- Click Save objective.
The objective page reloads displaying your updated details.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Cannot save new start or end dates on an aligned objective | Dates fall outside the parent or child objective's date range | Expand the parent objective's dates first, then return to edit the child objective's dates. If starting fresh, clone the parent objective with new dates instead. |
| Gear icon or Edit objective option is not visible | Your role does not have edit permission for this objective | See Role-based permissions for Objectives to confirm your access level. |
| Changes do not appear after clicking Save objective | Page may not have reloaded | Refresh the page. If changes are still missing, repeat the edit and save. |
