Sending invitations gives employees access to your 15Five account. Once they activate, they can complete Check-ins, join 1-on-1s, and use any features you have enabled.
Before You Begin
- You must have Admin-level access in 15Five.
- Employees must have valid work email addresses not already associated with a 15Five account.
- Confirm your groups, reporting structure, and feature settings before sending invitations. Invitation emails include your account name and go immediately.
Steps
- Log in to 15Five and click Admin in the left navigation.
- Click People in the Admin panel.
- Click Invite People.
- Select your preferred invitation method: Enter emails manually or Import a CSV file.
- If entering manually, type each employee email address into the field, separated by commas.
- If importing a CSV, click Download template, complete the file, then click Upload CSV.
- Assign a Group to the invitees if your account uses groups.
- Assign a Manager to each invitee if not already set via CSV.
- Review the invitee list for accuracy.
- Click Send Invitations.
Confirmation State
After step 10, 15Five displays a confirmation banner. Each invitee appears in People with the status Invited until they activate their account. Status changes to Active after they complete signup.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Invitation email not received | Check the address for typos in People | Correct the email, then resend from the invitee's profile |
| CSV upload fails | Verify the file uses the 15Five template headers exactly | Re-download the template, repopulate, and re-upload |
| "Email already in use" error | The address is linked to another 15Five account | Ask the employee to check for an existing login or contact 15Five Support |
| Invitee stuck in Invited status | Employee has not clicked the activation link | Resend the invitation from the invitee's profile in People |
| Admin cannot access Invite People | Your role may not have full Admin permissions | Ask your account owner to verify your permission level |
