Admins can grant a manager access to Kona Coach by enabling AI Coach Access in that manager's account settings. When the change is saved, the manager receives an invitation to begin Kona onboarding.
Before You Begin
- You must have HR Admin or Account Admin access in 15Five.
- Your organization must have Kona enabled as an add-on (available on Perform or Total Platform packages).
- At least one Kona seat must be available. If no seats are available, you must add seats before proceeding. See for seat management.
Steps
- Go to People in the top-left navigation.
- Use the search bar or filters on the Manage people page to find the manager.
- Click the manager's name to open their account settings.
- Scroll to the AI Coach Access section near the bottom of the page.
- Select Enable.
- If no seats are available, click Manage seats to add more before continuing.
- Click Save.
Confirmation: After saving, the manager's AI Coach Access section shows Enabled. The manager receives an email invitation to begin Kona onboarding (and a Slack notification if your organization has Slack integrated).
If Something Goes Wrong

|---|---|---|
| AI Coach Access section does not appear on the account settings page | Confirm Kona is enabled as an add-on for your account | Contact your 15Five account representative to verify Kona is provisioned |
| Enable option is grayed out | Check available seat count in Manage seats | Add additional Kona seats, then return to this page and select Enable |
| Manager does not receive an invitation email after saving | Confirm the manager's email address is correct in their account settings | Correct the email address if needed; see [How do I send an invitation to someone added without an invite email?] to manually resend |
| Save button does not respond | Confirm you have HR Admin or Account Admin permissions | Log out and back in; if the issue persists, contact 15Five support |
