Admins give managers access to Kona Coach from Settings > Features > Kona Meeting Assistant, by adding them to the Specific groups or people access list. When you save, each manager gets an invitation to begin Kona onboarding.
Before You Begin
- You must have HR Admin or Account Admin access in 15Five.
- Your organization must have Kona enabled as an add-on (available on Perform or Total Platform packages).
Steps
Warning: The people selected when you click Save become the full access list. Anyone not selected loses Kona access, though they keep notes Kona already generated. Before you save, make sure everyone who should keep access is still selected.
- Go to Settings > Features > Kona Meeting Assistant.
- Choose Specific groups or people.
- In the drawer, select the manager. Leave everyone who already has access selected.
- Click Done.
- Review the Confirm your changes window, then click Save. To discard your changes, click Cancel.
Note: The Kona setting on a person's Manage people page is read-only. It links to this settings page.
Confirmation: After you save, the manager gets an email invitation to begin Kona onboarding. They also get a Slack or Microsoft Teams message if your company has one connected.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Kona Meeting Assistant does not appear under Settings > Features | Confirm Kona is enabled as an add-on for your account | Contact your 15Five account representative to verify Kona is provisioned |
| Manager does not receive an invitation email after saving | Confirm the manager's email address is correct in their account settings | Correct the email address if needed |
| Save button does not respond | Confirm you have HR Admin or Account Admin permissions | Log out and back in; if the issue persists, contact 15Five support |
| Other people lost Kona access after you saved | Check whether they were still selected when you clicked Save | Select them again under Specific groups or people and save. They keep notes Kona already generated. |
| A manager you turned on from their Manage people page lost access | That page no longer grants access, and changes made there for people outside your access policy were rolled back | Add them under Specific groups or people in Settings > Features > Kona Meeting Assistant |
